Places on the bicycle route: Burkhardtsgrün
The origin of Burkhardtsgrün can be verified from the history of the Schwarzenberg regime. Burgold von Swarzinberc founded the court Burgoldisgrün between 1310 and 1320. The first documentary proof of the “village and court Burgoldisgrün” dates back to 1395. The village is a starting point for many hiking and cycling tours. Due to the elevation of the site, it offers a splendid panorama of the South–West Erzgebirge, as well as a fantastic view of the Auersberg Mountain (1,018 m asl).
